As reported under "trips" I took 283 NYP-SDY on Friday. Train was packed, crew walked the cars a few times with passengers needing seats, and had passengers sit up, or move their belongings so the seats could be occupied by passengers. Uneventful typical Empire Service (P32-DM 717) trip except for a passenger and her son who got off and forgot to take their oxygen machine so we were stopped at a station after starting to leave. My first time in the new SDY station, quite an improvement. Odd to see a new station in NY with a low platform, station is on a curve so it has a waiver. No info posted about local transit, walked outside and asked another passenger off my train, he said he was waiting for his Uber, going to the same place I was so I lucked out.

Dinner Friday at Rivers Casino voting board only meeting followed so I (non voting board member) went to the Casino (finished +$40) Saturday meeting lots of Bills fans on the board were going to a bar to watch the game so the meeting agenda was moved along efficiently. I decided early in the day not to stay over and grabbed a seat on 68. Later in the day found out that 68 was running about 45 minutes late so I had a bit of time in the station. Someone must have cancelled a value fare seat, when I saw it online I had the ticket agent redo my ticket and I got a $31 E-voucher. Train was pretty crowded, but not like the trip up. Had someone without a ticket trying to get over, he was either going to buy a ticket or be removed from the train. Made up bout half the time we were down, even with the engine change in Albany. 108 -701

Didn't get a chance to ask crew about no ticket guy, I was hustling to get to the LIRR, a friend was going to meet me in Jamaica to drop me home.
