I made a reservation a month ago, a trip in October SEA-MYA round trip in a roomete. The cost was $794.80 , which I paid with an eVoucher and a little bit extra cash on a credit card. Out of curiosity, I checked prices today and it is $612.80, a savings of $182.00. Exact same itinerary and dates. What's involved in trying to obtain the lower fare price? Can it be done online, or only calling and talking to an agent? Are they helpful and is it easy to do? Would they refund the difference to my CC, or issue another eVoucher? Thanks for any help.

You must call and talk to an agent to have your ticket MODIFIED for the lower fare. Don't even think of using the word cancelled. If the agent tells you it cannot be modified, ask for a supervisor or call back later in hopes of getting a more knowledgeable agent.

Ronbo...check out this link for some info. Hey, are you going to check out the Aquarium in Monterey? I hear they have some big ass goldfish in there. Seriously, it's worth a stop.

Eric, thanks for the link....... The Aquarium is my plan, I lived in Santa Barbara in the 60's and 70's, back when I was a kid/younger man, but never went there. Actually, I am not sure if it existed then. Just did a little research and learned it didn't open until Oct. 1984!....Anyway, I have always wanted to go. A few years back, I used to go to their website and watch various live video cams...feeding times in the big tank, views of Monterey Bay, etc. Hey, have you been there? Can you recommend any places to stay for a couple of days?

Is fish being served in the diner these days?

Fish of the day

Fish and chips

Rockfish tacos

Manila clams

Char club sandwich

However, they probably go through more seafood just feeding their own fish.

I just had two legs of a multi city trip modified. The agent I spoke to was wonderful and it only took a few minutes.

Yes, I've been several times. As far as lodging, I have stayed here. A bit of a spurge, but perfect location. Couple of minutes from Cannery Row. Don't know about in room gold fish, though. Maybe you'll get lucky. Have fun!

A bit of a "spurge" , I thought that was some type of noxious weed? Actually, I have looked into The Clement Monterey before, quite pricey, but what the heck, we only live once, right? Have a good trip out to the NW on Saturday!PS.. I might have to bring my own goldfish!

Damn...I actually try to proofread everything....speaking of spurge...it's also called "euphorbia". :p

Did you modify your trip just for a fare adjustment, or for other reasons also?
I only called to get the reduction in fare. The itinerary remained the same. I called just this week.
Thanks, good to know. I may try to do the same thing, if the price difference is still showing up!
