"An afternoon meant to commemorate a life moment turned out to be the last moment in a teen's life, when the 17-year-old Oregon boy was struck and killed by a freight train that barreled through while he was near a train bridge to pose for senior photos, officials said."

Fox news 11/4/19: https://www.foxnews.com/us/oregon-teenager-senior-photos-killed-train-freight

I wonder if it was stupid officials that used that term or a stupid "reporter".

Apparently later in the article Fox said he was trespassing.

Tragic, using the tracks for a photo shoot is like trying to run across a wide interstate highway. A car you never saw gets you. Trains run quiet on welded rails.

Metra Police caught late teens/early twenty-somethings doing a photo shoot at the Van Buren Street Station - on the tracks - this summer. Their second question was "you know trains are running on these tracks, right?" - after "hi, what are you doing?"
