Which Amtrak projects are likely to begin 1st, 2nd, and 3rd?

--Connecticut River Bridge Replacement?

Andrew, you keep asking questions about projects and plans that no one here or anywhere else can really answer. Especially on the possible timeframe for major projects which are dependent on locating lots of money.

For the 3 projects in your list, two are multi-billion dollar projects which are going to take years to complete their EIS process and likely longer to line up the funding. The CT River Bridge Replacement is in the $660 million dollar range and posted its Environmental Assessment report in 2014. The bridge replacement is included in the NEC Commission proposed Five Year capital plan with the goal of starting construction in the FY15 to FY19 planning window. So which one of the 3 projects would you expect to start construction first?

Portal bridge seems to be conspicuously absent from the list. Also what do you mean by Gateway? The tunnels? NYP South? quad tracking from Swift to Dock? Portal Bridge(s)? Tunnels protecting ROW under Hudson yards? Just saying "Gateway" is pretty vague don't you think?

It is my understanding that the Gateway Tunnel Resielency Project will likely be the first phase of the Gateway Project, which is a new alignment from near Allied Interlocking in New Jersey to the Concrete Casing in Manhattan.

Page 63 from this link has the proposed study schedule:

Quad tracking Newark, NJ to 10th Avenue.

It would be interesting if the Block 780 station gets built without the Bergen Loop.

However, if both the Bergen Loop and 7 Train to Secaucus gets built, than property values in Northern NJ will really increase!
