So, I'm going to be dropping back down to S+ at the end of February. As of right now, if I buy upgrade coupons they're 48-hour coupons. Once it's March, am I right in recalling that these would be 12-hour upgrade coupons if I buy them (with points)? I presume that once purchased, they're good for 12 months and won't suddenly "morph" after purchase.
I ask because I'm considering buying 2-3 packs so as to enable a few Acela runs over the next year with an eye towards maybe edging back to Select Executive, and the roughly $175 value on each coupon for Acela First WAS-NYP is pretty hard to beat in terms of effective redemption value.
