Question about SAV

Hey all, Im travelling down from my post in Charleston to Savannah in a little under two weeks here to pick up my very first car. What im wondering is, is there any way to use public transportation to get from the station into downtown Savannah. I will be arriving on 97, so if its ontime I would be willing to wait in the station for a couple of hours on a possible bus rather than pay for a cab into town. Thanks in advance for all your knowledge.

Hey Blueman, there is no public transportation available from the Amtrak station to downtown. The Amtrak station is in a very secluded area--very much off the beaten path. You can get a cab into town for about $20.
