Hi - I have a question about the manifest that is in the scanners/iPhones that the conductors carry. My H was on the regional home today and the scanner portion of the device wasn't working, so the conductors were looking up all names. They got to my H, who has a monthly pass, and asked him for his last name. He gave it, and he popped right up on the device.
I was surprised by that, because I would assume that only someone with a reservation for that particular train would come up. As my H has a monthly, he has no reservations. So he asked me to ask you guys about how the systems work and who gets loaded into the devices.
Anyone know? Do they load in all potential riders (monthlies, 10 rides, etc?)
He does receive an e ticket now for his monthly pass.
