Freight train derailment putting one of its engines in the Kootenai River near Bonners Ferry earlier today.

7 and 8 are being bus bridged around it.

Quite miraculous that the BNSF crew survived and none of the 113 cars derailed. Reminds me of the story of Kate Shelly and the Midnight Express. A few days of delays for the EB is fine as long as no lives where lost.
