Speed, Distance, Direction App for long distance train travel?

Is there a app i could use when im on amtrak long distance to keep in touch with speed direction and distance i had one but lost it Thanks

One app I use is GPS Test (Android) ...

No data connection needed, just a GPS signal. Displays lots of info. Here is one screen (of several) from while I was on the Crescent last October...

I use DigiHUD. It give you full screen or window option. It give time, speed, max speed traveled, average speed and direction of travel. You can set one trip or multiple segments of a trip. Works off GPS so you don't need internet connection. Works on air planes too. My last flight had a max speed of 567 mph. The window option only shows speed and average speed. It's a great free app!
