I have a multi-leg ticket for an Accessible Bedroom, from WPK to ALX, and returning WAS to ORL.
I'm thinking about changing to depart from and return to the same station, either WPK or KIS.
Normally, fares are the same for WPK, ORL, & KIS. But since I bought the ticket, the fare offered on the Amtrak site has gone up for the initial leg, and dropped slightly for the return leg. So if I change the stations, will I have to pay the higher fare, and will I get credit for the reduced fare? Again, the stations are all in the same fare zone (if that's the right term), it's just that the fares have changed due to current availability.
BTW, the fare has increased for the Accessible Bedroom, but not for a Roomette on the same train, which confuses me because when I was looking at fares it looked like the Accessible Bedroom fare was based on the lowest-priced available room (but maybe not.)
Thanks.
