Here is a neat little video of a ride on a steam hauled train in India from Delhi Cantonment to Rewari Jn.. The locomotive used is a IR/Baldwin WP Class engine that is preserved in working condition at the Rewari Steam Shed. At one time 700+ of these powered every express and mail train then running in India. Now there are just a few left. The first 100 were manufactured at the Baldwin Eddystone plant outside Philadelphia. This particular locomotive was manufactured at the Chittaranjan Locomotive Works.

Anyway, I quite enjoyed the footplate ride portion of this video.

Interestingly as the train enters Rewari, we are treated to electrification masts and some catenary in place signaling the move away from even Diesel engines. Incidentally you do see an ALCO diesel (manufactured at DLW, Varanasi) pulling a container train early in the video.
