Interesting that the MBTA in Boston is promoting the T as a way to travel to the USGA US Open Championship. They have shuttles running from 4 stations to the course, from Forest Hills on the Orange Line and Reservoir, Cleveland Circle, and Boston College on the Green Line.

Reminds me of when I lived near Philadelphia my wife and I (who were Golf fans at the time) in 1980 attended the US Open at Merion Golf Club. SEPTA Red Arrow division had shuttles running using the famed Brill "Bullet" cars. The next day watching the championship on TV you could see and hear the Bullets growling their way alongside the course at various times.
