Train 21 East Texas Detour

A friend on board 21 (currently in the Bloomington area) just texted me that he heard an announcement that "Due to UP track maintenance Longview and Marshall passengers will detrain at Mineola and be bussed." Any ideas how 21 will get from Texarkana to Mineola?

They've done this re-route before. If I remember correctly, it rejoins the normal route near Marshall. I also remember that the re-route was only necessary in one direction.

Looks to me like they will pick up the Pine Bluff sub out of Texarcana and follow to Big Sandy where they would rejoin Mineola Sub west.

Yes, I noticed this morning that it was going through Gilmer, Texas on its way to Big Sandy.

Confirmed: 21 did take the Pinebluff sub out of Texarkana, going through Mt. Pleasant and Gilmer before rejoining the normal route at Big Sandy.

I was on the 21(19). They changed in Texarkana.
