Train strikes car near Dogtown (St. Louis)An Amtrak passenger train carrying more than 100 passengers struck a car about 12:50 p.m. this afternoon, seriously injuring the driver and passenger of the car.
Entire story is here .

Good - no one on the train was hurt. When will these people learn that they cannot beat the train? ;)

A very good question.

Too many people are in too much of a hurry in life. Sadly that rush sometimes costs them their lives. :(

LOL!!! Are you implying the ones who take the train aren't???

Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Actually, I think on the contrary WM! I think all Alan was pointing out was that people who try to beat the train are too much in a hurry.

It would be nice if people could take the train because they are in a hurry. Wouldn't it be nice to hear people all over saying "I think I'll jump on the train since I'm in a hurry. It only takes a few hours and I'd rather bypass the hours of choking highway traffic and stress"? Maybe some day..
