Trying to buy tickets at the moment online and the 'Purchase' box is grayed out. Have check all details 4 times and used 2 different cards, nothing changes the Purchase button.

Are Amtrak having any software problems with ticket purchase at the moment?

First thought...give Amtrak a call and make the reservation that way.
And, ask if there is a website problem.

Thanks, just did that and now we're booked and have our e-tickets, what a day! Charming agent by the way.


Remember to check the box agreeing to terms near the right bottom and you will be able to purchase. 😐

Thanks Jis, sometimes do foreget but not this time. Tried I think 7 times with both of our names as lead and different cards. There wasn't a card problem at all, just couldn't click the purchase button.

Did ask the agent if there was a problem and she said it all appears normal, we'll see if that repeats when we book the next part of the journey in a couple of weeks time.
