Is it possible to upgrade (having used guest rewards for a roomette sleeper) to a higher category paying the difference ?

Nope, you got it. It's points or cash, not both.

(unless Rick means "pay the difference" in points, then yes - it's a simple "cancel the old reservation, get your points back and then make a new reservation on points")

Since technically you paid Zero for the Roomette the difference will be Full Pull whatever the current Bucket is.
