I started the topic of possible names for 62090 in the old forums and thought I'd Continue it here along with adding 8400.

Possible names for 62090:

First View

Original View

Western View (to compliment 62091 "Eastern View")

Possible names for 8400:

Unique View

What names would you guys give them?

"In Plain View"

"Room With a View"

"View Knew Susie Like I Know Susie"

(Yeah, like the kids around here will understand that!!)

Stop me before I post again!!

Yeah, my back is telling me that today! I need a nice, long train ride to relax me!!

:)

How about "obstructed view" oh wait, that's the cheep seats at Fenway Park. B)

How about for the couples on board:

"I Love View"

Seriously, it is probably not a good idea to name the diner anything until there is more in the fleet than the prototype. And when they do name the diners, I think names ending in "View" might be all played out by then.

Here are a couple :

"Mud on the window View"

"A mile long CSX frieght is blocking my View"

"Finger print View"

but seriously:

"University View"

"Golden View"

"Grove View"

"Vineyard View"

"Pine View"

No Sir, No Sir, No Sir. With the Lounge names they should be numbered 680XX. This is a carry over from the Amfleet II's. So take the last four digits of the current Amfleet II Lounges and put them on the Viewliners. So Miami Club would now be 68000, Atlanta Club 68001, Chicago 68005 etc. Then the ones that are unrefurbed or don't exist now (past 024) are just random cities, like the current lounges. Also Superliner Diner, cute idea on "I Love View." Maybe that could be the honeymoon suite car

OK??? There's nothing wrong with the 61000 series. It's better to keep numbered series as different as possible to anothe series. Plus it's a whole new fleet of cars so putting the names in alphibetical order would keep things more consistant.

From what I heard, the Viewliner diner absolutely sucks, from a chef's point of view, so unless there are some big improvements to the design and to their budget, there won't be any.
