With the opening of Metro's Silver Line, Greater Greater Washington has an animated piece that lets you watch the system grow (on THE map anyway ^_^ ) through the years.

Many might like the last phase of that growing metro rail system map: "Silver Line to Route 772 - hopefully in 2018". Some might already be looking forward to this Dulles Airport rail link to be operating soon.
