Why does the Texas Eagle not go through Waco?

Both tracks seem to be in fine shape.

My guess would be somewhere between Temple and Fort Worth has "traffic" or "needs maintenance", or "insert McGuffin here"

As I understand the UP line is not in good shape through Waco.

Saxman is correct! The Eagle could Detour through Waco, but it's Slow Running for sure.( I've only seen this once in Many Years or riding the Eagle.)

The Station Stop in Greater McGregor ( Unstaffed)is the stop for Waco..
