Would ordering the catalog from the 1996 website work?

It doesn't work. I just tried to order a "National Timetable" and got sent to an Amtrak webpage with this:

Is there a way to order a current national timetable? Either free or paid? I would print out the PDF but it's 141 pages.

Also, where is the PDF of the national timetable on the Amtrak website? I would gladly print it out, but they have hidden it (probably so they can say nobody uses it).

If you want a printed copy of the last paper timetable NOW is the time to get to a station that still has some and get one or more. Once a station runs out that is it, there is no more back stock left that they can order more from. They are still out there to be found. Get yours now if it is something important for you to have.

Yes, it will work to order today from 1996.....so long as you have someone living in 1996 right now to fill the order. :)

Or if you know The Doctor, in the TARDIS...

I just ordered the Nat'l timetable by mail, and the old one showed up. I ordered this a few days after Sept 9 2016, and this doesn't usually happen. I'm confused. Might try again. I never try stations because they never seem to have them (at least my "home" station anyway).

What do you mean by "by mail"? Did you write them a snail mail letter? If so, which address did you use? Thank you.

I just scanned through the system timetable, where is the Maple Leaf?? And, the San Joaquins, with all those bus connections, makes it very confusing! Why cant they also just provide a TRAIN ONLY timetable for the Surfliners, Capitols, and San Joaquins??

I thought they did?

Probably because the majority of the San Joaquin passengers are connecting to an Ambus at one end or the

other... makes it easier for them, as opposed to matching up two or three different tables.

I mean online, and it arrives by mail. I shall order another one!
You will just receive another copy of the old National Timetable they already sent you.

Amtrak is not printing any new National Timetables (a big mistake, but I digress). You cannot obtain a 'new' copy because they do not exist.

An electronic (.pdf) version is still published and is on the Amtrak website for you to download (and print it yourself - or at Staples or something - if you so desire).
