The theft of signaling cable is a fairly large problem in the UK. In some locations the cables are actually optical fibre, but then the thieves don't know then until they rip it up, so there is still disruption.

Is a problem that there aren't enough of them? Maybe they should go for Viewliner coaches (whatever they happen to be) for the long distance overnight trains (so they had an all-Viewliner consist), and use the amfleets for day trains.

It shows todays and tomorrow's trains for me for the cross country routes. It may not show the sunset or cardinal if you look on the wrong day (but then nor does the Amtrak planner). It throws up some odd connections at times. part of a "New York to Los Angeles" route sent me on the Lake Shore...

I think the CCC on the Capitol is used as a full diner - ie. it has the normal diner menu, just with the CCC seating.
