While in Kansas City check out their art museum, second to none. Also, the only WW1 memorial that I know of is there and also a must see. The old KC train station is pretty cool too.

I agree with all of the above, the river runner is one of my favorite train rides.

The old LAX is cool. The long since torn down and turned into a forgotten mall was the wonderful Saint Louis station. Portland was kind of fun too.

I was put in the H room once. Not because of a handicap but it was the only room left. The big Ole toilet on one side of the room was a bit of a nuisance - had to sit on the pot to look out the window, but it was an OK trip.

Vancouver is worth seeing. Portland and the Columbia River gorge are a must see

I found a nice hotel across the river in Cambridge, stayed there several nights before switching to the more expensive hotel where the conference was. It was the second time in my life I got to see snow!

I just put mine in the rack by the door. Once somebody took mine by mistake but while I was reporting it at the desk in Chicago, the call came in that my bag was arriving already on the next train.

I know in the past when roomettes were over sold, I was put in both the handicapped and the family bedrooms. I loved them both because you have windows on both sides.

Once you are in the dells, get a rental car and go see Talliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright's house and workshop. Really a must see.

Only time I was ever late was on the Missouri River Runner. We got stuck behind broken freight train that could only go 2 m ph and no siding big enough to pull over. Finally it quit to running all together and they sent a bus to bring us into Kansas City 4 hours late.

TERI BY means terribly. I hate it when the computer "corrects" me!

You can also take the Missouri River Runner train from St Louis to K C. It's not Teri by long and a beautiful trip. KC art museum has a world class collection as well.
