Semi annual Autotrain trip and every year it continues to get worse. Booked a sleeper NB a few months ago full fare this time of year. Specifically requested any sleeping room except for A. That’s because the A room is smaller, less baggage space and a bath door that doesn’t completely...

Of note this train had near 500 passengers. with only one cafe car for refreshments open On a consist thats 17 cars long.

Dining for Autotrain sleepers is now in room only. Sleeper breakfast is in room only The sleeper lounge car is no longer staffed. No drinks, chips etc are available. Only the coach cafe car is open. The coffee and hot chocolate machines in the sleeper cars are gone. not many amenities...

You are very correct. 98 NB was stuck in the station blocking access. Engine issues I think. No station or train help were assisting our 97 train. If u know the area all of the passengers finally organized by the main line and walked north to Columbia street to cross over to the station side...

We arrived Orlando. Got left off train on the wrong side of two tracks with a fence between us and station. Nearest Cross over was 1/4 mile away which was really a local side street for cars. No wheelchair as requested either. Amtrak staff weren’t concerned. Somehow I hobbled the distance...

Just took the silver meteor asking for wheel chair assist etc. horrible service. Can’t imagine changing trains. If flying is out then I’d suggest driving, or hiring a driver if needed. Never took a bus, but def won’t take a train again.

Good points. Appreciate them. Normally I’d ask but add in whats left to post and its beyond calling. Arrive station was staffed. Offered no help other than walk on my own somehow with my luggage. And I’m a wheelchair request. Attendants on train offered no help once I reached the platform.
