Just to give everyone a heads up I am turning off my YouTube videos again on September 4th on or about 5:00pm Eastern Time so if you haven't watched them this will be your last chance for now. I may sometime in the future put all my videos back online but for right now they have to stay off.

I did a couple of videos from my last trip posted on YouTube. Right now I have them turned off because of some problems I'm having with people
(NOT on this website or forum) stealing and re-posting my videos on their YouTube Channel(s) or on an external website. I've already gone through filing...
Very nice report. I also just finished a trip on the Auto Train this past June and posted some videos on my YouTube channel, the first was an video which now highlights the construction in Sanford and the second was an interior tour as we chugged our way to Lorton. As far as your pictures not...
I just finished another trip on the Auto Train and with that comes new videos, the first is an update at the Sanford Terminal where there is construction going on to heighten the platform with the doors of the train to make passenger boarding easier (Thanks to YouTube user "superstarjon90" an...
This is a repost as the original topic unfortunately had skewed off-topic. In November 2014 I took a trip on the Amtrak Auto Train departing from the Sanford, Florida terminal, I took some video inside and outside of the terminal and on the platform. Unfortunately due to the lousy weather I...
About 4 years ago I made a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request to Amtrak requesting the exact number of Common and Preferred shares that were issued. According to my files 109,396,994 shares of Preferred stock ($100 Par value) were issued solely to the Secretary of the Department of...
Just got a call from my mom a little while ago, she and dad are travelling tonight on the Southbound Auto Train from Lorton to Sanford, they were at the 7pm seating for dinner when the train had to make an emergency stop because apparently another passenger in the dining car had suffered a...
Very likely in the Spring and/or Summer of 2014 I'll be traveling on the Auto Train and from past travel I know currently there is no Wi-Fi access onboard this route. So what is everyone's experience using their mobile/tablet devices with cell data (i.e. AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and/or Verizon...
As a person who lived in New Jersey for over 40 years before moving to Florida and who used/uses EWR I can tell you that there is Wi-Fi available in all of the terminals but by no means is it free as far as the public areas are concerned. The current incarnation of the service is operated by...
Because that would be too damn easy, helpful and convenient for the Amtrak customers. Remember Amtrak is a bureaucracy and people who work in government try so hard to keep the red tape going.
Restoration of service to Tallahassee for those of us who need or would like to travel to the Capitol building, especially when our legislature convenes for their annual session. Would be easier and less expensive then travelling from Orlando International to Tallahassee Regional.
Agreed, they probably couldn't handling another long distance train and most likely there is not much interest by Amtrak executive and the passengers themselves to warrant any type of change to either train service.

Who owns or owned the property and building where the old Amtrak station was located? Owned by the hotel? Owned by Union Pacific and leased to Amtrak or owned outright by Amtrak? Inquiring minds want to know. Also does UP still own the trackage?
