    Historical Rates?

Thank you, that's helpful. I'm running into October Sunset Limited ELP to ANA at over $400 to over $500 for roomette..one way..which seems crazy.

    Historical Rates?

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows how pricing works now. I'm looking ahead at October and rates are super high. Would they be more likely to rise or drop as the travel dates get closer? I know they used to start out with low price posted in the beginning then go up as the travel date got...

Amtrak Blankets to be Sealed for your Protection

I will tell you that these SUCK! HORRIBLE static on them and constant little shocks. Really poor decision.

    Room Upgrade?

I checked out the price on bedrooms for other legs..some were sold out at this late date, of course, and at over $1,000 for that upgrade I'll smoosh into a roomette. It will be fun to experience that huge (to me) bedroom this one time though.

    Room Upgrade?

    Room Upgrade?

I'm heading out next Thursay on a multi train trip, and noticed that on one leg the cost of a bedroom is very reasonable. I have roomettes all the way, but if there's a way to just upgrade to a bedroom on that leg, I'd like to do so. Is this possible by calling Amtrak or would they have to...

Amtrak bus to or from Vancouver

I'm coming into Seattle on the Coast Starlight, staying the night there and taking the morning train to Vancouver. BUT on the way back, I'm getting off a cruise and the 2 trains are pretty much not workable.Early morning and fairly late evening. Hard to hang around a city all day with cruise...

    Coast Starlight to Disneyland!

Love it..I feel like I'm back on my Disney boards. I just got back from a quickie trip to experience Frozen Fun. It was great! Ps..when I missed the Surfliner that one time many years ago, the cab from Anaheim to LA was $75.00. Oh yea, the new Anaheim station is open but not really done. From...

    Coast Starlight to Disneyland!

Ah..Well, shoot. That's scary. I hadn't thought of just buying the sections separately before, but might now.

    Coast Starlight to Disneyland!

PS..I'm just now reading about this Parlour Car..first time on Starlight in May, so had no idea. Does it still offer dining and how does one sign up? I wish I could tell by my room number if I'm on the correct side side of the train for the stunning views. Many years ago, we did take this train...

    Coast Starlight to Disneyland!

Wow, I travel a lot of long distance on Amtrak and didn't know this! I usually catch an earlier Surfliner,so am not 'missing' one, but wow. I had an instance many years ago where I missed a Surfliner (I was on the platform, and the train stopped way away and I hustled down there but there were...

What do you do when traveling alone LD over 30 hours

I'll be on a 72 hour train trip this month (Alb/Chi/DC/Orlando) since that direct route is NEVER coming back! Have a loaded Kindle and Podcast on Fire and will download Dowton Abbey and binge on that. Should be fine :)

What have I signed myself up for?

PS..I'm a travel agent who specializes in Disneyland, so if you have any questions in that regard, please let me know.

What have I signed myself up for?

And this is even easier. We get off in Fullerton and take a quick cab ride to Disneyland. No need to catch another train and the cab is under $20.00. Super easy! Although downstairs is closer to the extra bathrooms (I always travel roomette and for the most part go downstairs to use the...
