More like 10 inches in Boston. They have those big snow-blower trains don't they? How quickly do they typically clear things along NER? Should I schedule my trip for just after, say Thursday?
Say we arrive at NYP on a sleeper ticket and have to wait a few hours for our outgoing NER train to BOS. NOT an Acela. Are we entitled to use ClubAcela to wait?
Is there a set schedule by which Amtrak publishes new timetables?
For example, the latest New England Regional timetable came out Feb 6,
but the latest Silver Meteor is still from Nov 2. I may have to take a trip on these
lines in the near future.

As I understand it, Viewliner II sleeper cars do not have plumbing in the Roomettes. Is the Silver Meteor upgraded to using these cars yet? The Amtrak web site naturally says nothing about these and only has pictures of the old model.

There are hotels within a 2-3 block 8 minute walk from South Station. But we are talking $250 per night. As mentioned before, downtown Boston is not cheap! But for that sort of price you can have a modern room in a very ritzy hotel, overlooking the harbor.
