Can I walk with luggage from waiting room at Penn Sta to Moynihan sta without using any stairs?

Thanks Amtrak Blue. I've used Penn Sta all my life and never really thought about accessibility issues to get across the street until recently. I'm traveling Saturday which promises to be a wet one and have to walk from the PATH on 6th Ave. I'll drop down into Penn Sta to save a block in the rain.
Amtrak (not Canada bound) trains can be boarded from legacy Penn Station, but don't expect any red cap or checked baggage.
My problem is the walk from PATH to Moynihan on a probable very rainy day - this coming Saturday. I want to drop into Penn with luggage at 7th Ave and emerge at 8th Ave to avoid rain and stairs. And I'll be checking bags.

If it is raining very hard you could take N/Q/R from Herald Square to Times Square and then 1/2/3 down from Times Square to Penn Station, and avoid the rain altogether, for a single subway fare.

BTW, just curious, if you are going to Moynihan why would going to 8th Ave defeat any purpose? Afterall Moynihan is between the 8th and 9th Aves., and has very little to do with 7thj Ave.
It wouldn't but taking the subway would because of stairs and me with three bags. It also makes using an umbrella tough. 7Ave gets me into Penn Sta and shelter.Quite true. You could avail of an Umbrella and Rain Coat

If you are traveling on the NEC, perhaps you should take PATH to Newark? AFAIR that doe not involve any stairs. All level changes have escalators/elevators available.
Also, just as a lark I looked up the status of the subway stations involved, Apparently Herald Square, Times Square 7th Ave. Penn Station and 8th Ave Penn station are all fully accessible stations though sometimes finding the elevators can be an interesting adventure in and of itself.
Where are you taking PATH from and which direction on Amtrak are you going ?
32nd Street between 6th and 7th tends to have scafolding over sidewalks for building constructon/rebuildings/destruction that never ends.
Elevators at Penn Station are as reliable as a cheap set of Xmas lights:

I haven't seen it myself, but I've been told there is an accessible path from PATH to the 6th Ave. subway station. From there, you could take the D train uptown to 59th St. (which is accessible), and then the A train downtown to NYP. Of course, dragging 3 bags onto and off of NY subway trains is no picnic either, even without stairs.
As for Penn Station, I'm pretty sure there are ramps from the upper level down to the lower level, where you can walk past the 8th Ave. subway to escalators up to Moynihan. If the escalators are too much, there's an elevator to the left of them.

Yes you can between 7th Ave and Moynihan. I have done it recently. At the 7th Ave Penn Station entrance take the escalator/elevator down from street level to Penn Station main concourse level. Another escalator/elevator down to the LIRR level (or the historically so called "Arrival Level"). Alternatively I believe you can take the new 33rd St. LIRR entrance escalator/elevator straight down to the LIRR level. I have not done that. Then follow the North Corridor all the way under the 8th Ave Subway to Moynihan and take the escalator/elevator up to the Moynihan main level. Presumably you can get out of the PATH level at Herald Square to the street since it is accessible.

Yes there is. Not well advertised but always works.
I am not sure that I understand the requirement here so I will say that if you arrive at the 7th ave station (MSG/Penn) and wish to get to Moynihan Station walk to the West side. There is an escalator that will take you up to street level at 8th Ave where the station is. Cross 8th Avenue and you are there. Nice station and an impressive lounge for Acela first class/and sleeper passengers.
Thank you. this really was what I'm after. I couldn't remember if there ws aan escalator to street level at the 33st And 8th Ave exit. I'll wait for the green light and barrel across 8th Ave into Moynihan.
I don't think you need to go out and cross 8th Av. It's been a few months since I was in Penn Station, but I think there are elevators from the main level down to the Long Island level, and you can walk inside from there to Moynihan, with, as best as I can recall, no steps. From 6th Av. to 7th, there is the M34 bus.

You are correct. The LIRR Level North Corridor runs all the way from 7th Ave to Moynihan Train Hall lower level, running under the 8th Ave and the 8th Ave subway. There are escalators and elevators to access it both at the 7th Ave end and the Moynihan Train Hall end. So no stairs to negotiate.
