Is there a way to monitor the Capitol Limited's location? I need to catch it at 259am in CLE going to CHI and it would be nice to know what time I had to go to the station. Trains seem to be late a lot and I would rather wait at home if the train is going to be hours late.

Right. I forgot to mention the Trains Status Links section of the same post. It points to various places where you can get train status information including the Amtrak one.
If you have access to a phone but not a computer screen, you can still call 1800USARAIL and listen to Julie. I have done this from a train a few times to see how late we were going to be.

Train Status at the top right of the Amtrak website sometimes has data when all other sources are offline.
