Hi all,
I searched for this, but was unable to find an answer either here or on Amtrak's site.
How long does it usually take for Amtrak to credit back a debit card after an online cancellation?
I booked online last year for a trip in May, and my travel plans changed and I canceled online...
Bridgewater's Pub is, in my opinion, the best bar/restaurant inside a train station. They have a very impressive beer selection and the food is quite good. I go there even when I don't have a train to catch.
Hi All,
I know I've read this somewhere here, but a search has been fruitless in finding the information here and I couldn't find it on the Amtrak site either.
What is the cost for each piece of checked baggage (I know under 50 lbs) over three is charged?
I'm taking the Crescent down to New...
I live within short walking distance of the stadiums, so it's not an issue for me. People were due to pre-game at my house on Sunday before the game and walk the rest of the way.
If Septa (and the political powers that be) had the will, they could probably fill the stadium using only public...
The only boards currently are downstairs in the station - nothing on the platforms at present because of the contruction. So yes, passengers who have already ascended to the platform are reliant on announcements if there is a track change. And sometimes, the boards are incorrect too.
Hi All,
I’m placing this in Amtrak Rail Discussion because it concerns an Amtrak employee and an Amtrak station.
I don't know if many of you depart often from the Wilmington (Delaware) Amtrak station, but there is one Amtrak employee there who consistently gets boarding announcements...
Is anyone else having any issues at present? I tried logging in and it's telling me it doesn't recognize my credentials. I tried a few times - getting the number directly off my card.
Please do NOT attempt to conflate my personal opinion with any attempt at being logical. Had I wished to engage in a logical argument, you would have been unable to refute it.
Perhaps a more productive use of your time would be to write a "logical" letter to Amtrak and attempt to persuade them...
For me, it's a moot point.
Karl Malden notwithstanding, I found travelers checks to be a very inconvenient way to pay for anything while traveling. The one trip that I took relying on travelers checks (on the advice of someone who obviously didn’t travel with them much) to the Greek islands...
I'm on the train a comin'
It's rollin' 'round the bend,
And I ain't seen the sunshine,
Since, I don't know when,
But he shook me down in Reno,
Just to watch me cry,
When I hear that whistle blowin',
I hang my head and fly.
Oh, and the Amtrak workers at WIL are clueless as to what track a Septa train might be departing from. I've seen people have to go back and forth and up and down stairs to different tracks three times for one train.
As a daily Septa rider, yes Amtrak can cause some frustration, but obviously someone is over-reacting. My daily commute is from Market East to Wilmington, Delaware and often my trains are held up for a late Amtrak train. This hasn't been an issue recently going into Wilmington since they've...
Since I'm going to England in a couple of weeks, I'll report back as to how the TSA experience was. I won't be flying out of PHL, however - the direct flight from EWR was $300 cheaper. So I even get an Amtrak trip out of it (to Newark airport - I'll take NJT/Septa home since it's not as time...
