We put down our payment for the family bedroom on the Texas Eagle. We are in family bedroom 15 in car 2130 going to Galveston and family bedroom 15 in car 2220 coming back. I assume it is the same room except different engines? I think it is the only sleeping car on the train?

I am kicking around the idea of buying a portable dvd player for my girls to watch on our 24 hour train ride from Indy to NYC. Does anyone know if they work very well on the train and is there any place to plug them in? Thanks

Wouldn't you know when we just decide to take a train, we hear about the metrolink crash. I know our train is not one of those but gad, it does give you the creeps.
