I heard the Berghoff has re-opened. Can any one confirm this? I have spent many an Amtrak lay over there eating and having a frosty adult beverage, or two.

The sleepers are very safe. You pretty much get to know your travelmates, and the car attendants pretty much know who should not be in the cars . Happy rails

I understand that the Berghoff has recently re-opened it is an icon . A great place to have a sandwich and beer or two. It is located a couple of blocks down Adams street, well worth the short walk. It is also a block from the el. Have fun
