$22 Billion Amtrak Fund?

I recently heard that Sen. Ernest F. Hollings is proposing legislation that would grant Amtrak $22 Billion in funding. Does anyone know the details of this? <_<

Thanks Amtrak Watcher. I checked the page out, but didn't see anything about Ernest Hollings most recent $22 billion legislation. I guess he is trying to do everything he can for Amtrak before he is out and McCain is in.

Though I could not find anything on a single $22b suggestion from Hollings, all the Hollings proposals on the referenced link add up to about $22b. Taken all together, some of the proposals would include replacing Amtrak with something else. The stuff on the link suggests Hollings wants to save passenger rail, not necessarily Amtrak.
