No experience, but make sure that the bike rack is not a temporary rack. They won't allow that, it must be a permanently mounted rack.

The bike hitch is mounted to the frame of the car, I know, I did it meself. (and it hurt when it dropped on my head) Now, you can take the actual bike rack off the hitch, but I don't think they are talking about this.

I take it to mean the "temporary" kind of bike racks, that you see with suction cups and/or straps.
