I was looking through NTSB accident reports this evening when I came across a report about a collision between Palmetto bug and MARC last June. Does anyone know what locomotives were involved in that wreck (they were two P-42's)?

I'm not sure if there were one or two P42's on that train, but for sure the train was headed by a P42. Most likely there were two, but I'm not sure. The engine that actually hit the MARC train was #55.

I know this becuase Superliner Diner and I saw this engine while on one leg of his mid-west trip last year. I rode from Philly to DC with him and his son, before they continued west on the Capitol. You can check out the report here, which mentions our seeing the engine about 1/4 of the way down the page.
