Yesterday, in Clayton County - where the country bus system stopped operating in 2010 -, voters passed a transit proposition for the county to join MARTA with 74%, The Hill reports referring to the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Already in 7 months, the residents and visitors of Clayton County could be able to benefit from bus service:

A portion of that tax will be used to bring bus service to the county as early as June. The rest of the money brought in from the tax will be saved in an account to be used only to bring a high-capacity transit option — such as rail — to Clayton County. [...]

Research into how likely it is rail could be brought to the county is supposed to begin in fiscal year 2016.
