This was my first long distance trip and my two sons first trip on train ride,
Im more sad that they will not experience life time memories on this train ride which is more important then time or money.
Problem started with axel problem on one of sleeper.. so delayed 3 hrs. then once we got on the train.... we had no power and stuck sitting station for another 3 hrs before leaving on 5pm.. so we miss the views off the sunset and mountain views. Now we were already 8 hrs behind.
They decided to terminate the service at sacramanto and we took another train down to bakersfield and bused to LA.. what an experience.
