Expanded rail security measures announced

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Thursday issued directives requiring protective measures to be implemented by passenger rail operators to take effect as of yesterday, May 23.

I wonder if this is the reason the Crescent has been over an hour late the last 2 days out of NYC.

I am taking it from TCL to NOL on the way to LAX....leaving Thursday afternoon.

It would be nice to be close to on time. I would like to visit Cafe du Monde and Bubba Gump's in NOL on Thursday night.
