TRACY — The family of Clayton "Cotton" Riggins still waits for justice.

Nearly two months ago, Riggins was found beaten to death in his home on West Carlton Street. A 19-year-old man was arrested in December on suspicion of killing him, but no charges were filed.

Of the five Tracy homicides in 2009, the 72-year-old's is the only case that does not have a suspect in custody. The investigation into who killed the retired train brakeman and conductor is ongoing, Tracy police Sgt. Tony Sheneman said.

Police ask anyone with information to call Detective Craig Kootstra at 209-831-6637 or Tracy Crime Stoppers at 209-831-6847.

Since he was retired, this probably doesn't have anything to do with his job, but you never can be sure.

Is there anyone here who ever met him or even worked with him?
