I just discovered Amtrak Unlimited and am looking forward to participating in discussions. I've been a rail advocate since the 1970s. I moved to Pennsylvania last year, where my wife and I live car free. I got my nickname "Literalman" from a coworker years ago because I sometimes, for fun, take expressions literally. For example, if you said, "Come over my house later," I might answer, "But I can't fly!" I'm the author of The Editor's Companion book and blog (I'm a retired editor), and my website is Steve Dunham's Trains of Thought. Yes, Steve Dunham is my real name. :)

Welcome, Literalman, from another car-free Pennsylvanian (part-time anyway) who reads Strunk & White for pleasure and who has just found your blog. Upper Darby is well-served by SEPTA, a remarkable 15 minutes to 30th St. Station in Philly and thence to the NEC and heck the whole Amtrak route map. Happy travels!
