Frankly, to me this almost sounds like some made up nonsense impressive sounding cause

Due to a communication issue with signals and switches on the tracks between Philadelphia and New York, all trains are holding until further notice; customers should expect delays. We will update as more information becomes available.

Due to an ongoing communication issue with signals and switches between Philadelphia and New York, all services scheduled to travel in that area are suspended until further notice. Trains between Philadelphia and New York, at the time of the disruption, are currently being moved out of the area at reduced speeds.

Amtrak crews were able to identify and resolve the communication issue causing the earlier switch and signal outage. Service has resumed between NYP and PHL; residual delays are expected.

Signals, Switches, and some other stuff were lost this morning. It was a bit of a mess. During all of this 2152 had an inverted pantograph near Midway and a train to train transfer couldn’t happen due to the outages.

This is all that I’ve heard.
