SEPT. 23, AS OF 11:30 A.M.:
The storm passing through the mid-Atlantic region has caused flooding, downed wires, and power outages in some areas that will affect Amtrak train service on the Northeast Corridor today:

As a result of flooding between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. earlier this morning, passengers traveling on the Northeast Corridor may experience residual delays.

While service between Philadelphia and west to Harrisburg has been restored, passengers will experience delays on this route. Also, Amtrak trains operating between Washington and Richmond are experiencing significant delays due to power outages, downed wires and flooding.

Amtrak crews are working to ease these weather-related impediments. Because of the changing nature of these delays, customers are advised to call 1-800-USA-RAIL prior to departing for the station.
The full press release can be found here.

Please note: This is not related to Isabel's passing, other than perhaps simply becuase this area did not need more rain.
