From elsewhere on the internet:

The following Amtrak Thruway Bus services are cancelled:

8042 - COLUMBUS, OH TO PITTSBURGH, PA

8043 - PITTSBURGH, PA TO COLUMBUS, OH

8044 - COLUMBUS, OH TO PITTSBURGH, PA

8142 - CLEVELAND, OH TO PITTSBURGH, PA

8143 - PITTSBURGH, PA TO CLEVELAND, OH

8144 - CLEVELAND, OH TO PITTSBURGH, PA

Reason: Greyhound bus station in Pittsburgh has moved and is no longer next door to Amtrak. The Greyhound buses still operate but Greyhound has not confirmed that the buses will stop for passengers at the Amtrak station. Because of the need for passengers to physically transfer themselves to the new station location, they will no longer be valid Amtrak Thruway connections and cannot be ticketed by Amtrak, and the connections guaranteed.

Note that this situation may only be temporary. The Greyhound station that is across the street from Amtrak's Pittsburgh station is being rebuilt from the ground up. The move to a temporary site about 1-1/2 miles away from Amtrak necessitated this action. The buses will still operate, but passengers would have to fend for themselves in getting between the Amtrak and Greyhound stations, and they are not able to book the bus trips through Amtrak during this time.

When the station reopens at its old location, the Thruway bus situation for connections to Ohio will be revisited.

Would it have really been that big of a deal to have busses make one additional stop at the Amtrak station? Greyhound was bad before and now it really stinks. For my trip to Disneyland in Dec, we are driving to Albuquerque to take the Chief to Fullerton. (The Eagle/Sunset was a bit too much and not too reliable) Anyway, I checked Greyhound for the identical trip and it was 200 bucks more with good size layovers. Comparing the Eagle/Sunset route, it's 400 bucks more!
