Amtrak stated on its recent press release that the Palmetto will begin stopping in Selma, NC on Monday, April 28. This will double the number of trains stopping in Selma, which is also served by the Carolinan. The announce comes five months after officials celebrated the renovation of the 1924 rail station.

Train #90: Lv 9:12 am
Train #80: Lv 12:31 pm
Train #79: Lv 3:46 pm
Train #89: Lv 5:35 pm
However, for several weeks, the weekday schedule will be altered due to CSX Track work, which will last April 28-June 30, with Train #90 stopping at 11:12 am, however on weekends, the Palmetto will run as scheduled. This opens up a market for those in that area who wish to travel to Florida.
