The following is from the Trains.com Newswire for October 18.

In a third incident at Englewood Yard near Houston, the rear 5 cars of Amtrak’s 9-car eastbound Sunset Limited from Los Angeles, Calif. to Orlando, Fla. derailed Friday at 4:40 p.m., while traveling 4 mph on the UP Terminal Division near Tower 87. All cars remained upright and there were no reported injuries. The passengers in the derailed cars were moved to the forward cars and the train continued eastward about 2 hours later. Additional cars were added to the train at New Orleans, La.

Only for that one train.

On a seperate note it was reported that Q60815 derailed at North Sanderson on Saturday. This forced P00213 to terminate at Tallahassee and bus the rest of the way. The equipment deadheaded to NOL where it became P00117 (leaving NOUPT on the 18). All service is back to normal on the Coast Line though.
