A year ago it was a very special treat on menu: the "Amtrak Special" which was nothing else but a 100% genuine "Somloi Galuska" which was of quality that only the most expenisive coffee-house in Budapest ("Gerbaud") could beat.
Some rude people did dare to say, I did rode Amtrak because it was the only place in North America to get this dessert (and of fabulous quality!).
Since last April I was unable to get it. The menu was reorganized and as I recall SOME menu does have it - but I was unlucky that every time I got the "right" menu the "Amtrak Special" was substituted by (IMHO) much inferior chocolate bundt.
I know this is not the world's most serious problem and very likely this topic is not touched during Amtrak's congressional debate. However if I ever (unlikely!) became a congressman I would double what Gunn asks under one condition: bring that "Amtrak Special" back!
