So I took my first Amtrak ride last week and I surprisingly loved the blanket they hand out (modacrylic blue blanket) I was curious does anyone know their supplier so I can order some customized ones for my business?

It was amazing thank you! I upgraded to a roomette and it was the best decision! I asked my attendant if I could buy one of the blankets and he surprisingly just gave me one that was wrapped up in plastic.
Are you sure he understood that you wanted to take it home?

The California Zephyr from DEN to OSC - I really wish they would expand travel to Des Moines (DSM)
Looks like about a 40 mile drive to Osceola from Des Moines to catch a transcontinental train going either east or west. Compared to most of the country that ain't too shabby.

We keep hearing about Amtrak's getting new blankets, so it's possible a whole bunch of the old one would be available surplus.

Of the OP is speaking of the thin blue blanket that I have experienced, why would anyone want to keep one except as a souvenir?

Only because it was my first time riding but I actually enjoyed the blanket. It was not too heavy and felt soft to me...
The blanket can just kind of go along with the experience, especially for a first time rider.

I agree, everything, good and bad, is just part of the experience. And since I don't travel with Amtrak that much (compared to other members), I always take it in!
I always use my Amtrak blanket if I sleep across two seats in coach to avoid a "wardrobe malfunction," and without fail I see someone who would have been better advised to do the same.
There used to be an Amenity Kit that was a free item for people taking the Lake Shore Limited Business class out of Chicago. It had a blanket, ear plugs, a blindfold, and I know there was a 4th item but I forget what that was. I have three of the blankets, they don't keep you warm at all but I use them like I said, so in case clothing shifted in my sleep, no one would have an unwanted view.

The weird thing about that thin blue blanket is that it does actually keep me warm, even though every trip when I first prepare to get into bed, I think, "I'm going to freeze tonight!" But I never do.
