We went westbound in a bedroom in February 2019. Lots of snow and gorgeous scenery. The only problem was the water went out in our bedroom the night we left - so much for showering in our room! Amtrak did give me a partial credit, however.

I'm not aware of any Hiawatha Lounge from a repurposed Metropolitan Lounge. Last I looked, that space was still closed off for renovations.

I had a trip booked from CHI to DVL on 11/23 that week and my ticket in the app said it was cancelled last week. However, I never got an email notification. The agent I spoke with said it was a mistake that someone had made with several reservations and she re-sent my ticket.

I live across the street from Union Station and regretted the loss of the car rentals. However, that forced us to use the Enterprise at Presidential Towers at Madison and Jefferson and we are delighted with the much better service we receive there. Highly recommend it.

Ah, so I imagine luggage larger than a carry on will need to be checked.

I should have added one more question to this - are there luggage racks in the corridor like in Superliner sleepers? Thanks.
