I am ready to cancel as well. It wasn't my idea to switch banks. Why did I get hit with a late fee for a payment I never knew about? I have received one harassing letter and one email. I've never has any issue with this card until FNBO came along.
I miss the early ‘80s. Buying my ticket at LA Union Station at the old original ticket windows, now off limits, and being the only person there. Detraining at Kansas. City into the unrestored Union Station. Six people in a station designed for 10,000. Using one of those old telephones from the...
We have a winner! Yes, Evansville L&N depot. Designed by Richard Montfort who also designed the Nashville station. This station was razed in 1985 by some very short sighted people despite opposition from many citizens.
By far the Surfliner from Santa Ana to LA. Many trips from LA to Kansas City on the Southwest Limited and Southwest Chief. Also the Kansas City/St.Louis Mules and Ann Rutledge a few times.
November is my first trip on the SWC in a few years. I hope they still have the chipotle veggie burger, it's the best item on the menu. Although my all time favorite was the chicken kiev from back in the '80s.
I've taken the SWC many times for the last few decades. Somehow, no matter how late it might be, it always seems to arrive in LA and Kansas City on time. More or less.
Hey, it's the 21st Century. There are no yuppies, they've been replaced by hipsters drinking IPAs and fruity beer, not lite. :-)
edit: And wearing funny little hats
Ha! I bought a ticket at that counter once back in the '80s. Just a couple of blocks from LA Union Station is Phillipe's, home of the French dip sandwich and with a lot of railroad and circus memorabilia. Good food, too.
