    Points Expired

Just curious. Why doesn't Amtrak give you a countdown warning about points about to expire? 15,000+ points (husband's) zeroed out. Ouch.

    Worcester MA

Amamba, the ultimate destination is Winchendon, MA (up near the New Hampshire border). On the last trip in the 1980's there wasn't an easy way to get there. Very possibly, we might go roaming around, but Winchendon is the highlight.

    Worcester MA

Arriving in time to get a rental car might be an issue. I'm also thinking of New Haven to Springfield or Hartford. I've done the Boston thing before (but probably before there was an MBTA). Do you have any thoughts on the convenience of Springfield versus Worcester? Thanks. This has always been...

    Worcester MA

Trip: Starts on the Crescent with Worcester as the destination. The error message: Problem Finding Service: Sorry, we cannot find train service matching your request. Please try alternate stations/cities. To learn more about trains available at a particular station, please click on the...

    Worcester MA

Hi , When keying in Worcester, MA as a stop on Amtrak.com, a message about the station shows up. What's the issue with this as a stop? (I rode it years ago and on the last part of the route one could outwalk the train.) Thanks for your help.

    Why become a member?

Having a memory fog. Is Traveler the UPS driver from Nebraska that married his girlfriend because she liked Amtrak? Thank you for that reply.

amtrak crescent- from new york to atlanta

What's with the nut advocating the airlines? To Atlanta? We have tornados, floods, thunderstorms, big airport security, an airport that's located about 30 minutes south of Atlanta, etc. Anyway, OP, you will be safe. Bring a load of common sense. Dress street-wise. Remember that you're getting...

    Why become a member?

Would you believe that good or bad I come on here, now, to get away from the ordinary. Somewhere else, I told Anthony or Alan that this board was a better support than my church during my husband's deployment, even though my initial posts were met with such skepticism (you guys can be tough). I...

Does the Superliner have a lower ground clearance? In keeping with the original post, if I were sharing a Superliner roomette with another female, she'd have to take the top bunk. The no-window-hunker-down stuff would get to me a little bit. I like to keep my eyes on the horizon when the ride...

Question about Amtrak Bedrooms & Roomettes

Not dreaming. I've seen locks on rooms that had been taken over by employees. I don't recall how they did it, but they were there.

If it's not too convoluted a question: When you add all of those 2" together from each room where do they end up? Perhaps I should just go look at the diagram. I've seen the 3D view. I've not been on Superliners, just the Viewliners, then (always a toilet). So, a Superliner must feel a little...

    Rooomette Trainediqute

Moving along and away from the offensive side, ladies and gentlemen (try to live up to that moniker, okay?), I forgot the other part that was uncomfortable about sharing until this thread. It really applies whether it's a stranger or DH and that's the fact that I get motion sickness when...

Do you know what the time limit is for calling AGR? I had a lot (DH's deployment) going on at that time so didn't follow through on it.

FWIW, Post 34 is not mine. Posts 39 and 40 are. Hope I got that right. J
