    Slow AGR travel posting

I have some segments from the week Double Days started that haven't posted yet - I'm about to hit the 21 day 'contact us' point.

New person here, and ready to talk about BOA reward points!

Tennessee, please let me know when your points post. I have some from September that still haven't posted to AGR - and my account says to allow 21 days. I posted elsewhere asking about others current "wait time" but I haven't seen a response.

    BOA Telephone Inquiry

The fact that multiple people here who have gotten the card have gotten calls from the same number makes it *really* unlikely that it's random scammers. I'm sure it's just BOA scammers.

    Double Days?

How long are segments taking to post these days?

I'm not sure you're quite right with those numbers - it's not actually 15,000 flat for each zone, unless you're planning on getting off the train for an overnight/extended stop somewhere. Your one zone CHI-DAL is 15,000 - but the two zone to RNO on the CZ is only 20k, not 30k. It would only...

Can anyone else check AGR transactions?

It's flaking for me again too, and this time Incognito mode doesn't solve the problem. I happen to be on a fresh install of Windows, so I guess my idea that it was related to multiple accounts using the same computer was just bogus. I do notice that even right after I log in, it says "Not...

Dining via sleeper reservations - what times?

Ah well, I should have figured they'd consider that to be two legs - I was just hoping they had something akin to the opposite of an open sleeper fare, where you could add accommodations to only part of a longer coach leg. Sigh! I really can't come up with any way to keep Amtrak viable for us...

Dining via sleeper reservations - what times?

I'm trying my damnedest to figure out if/how we'll be able to keep using Amtrak as our primary means of cross country travel after the rollout of AGR2.0. One of the options I think might work for us - somewhat pricier, but a lot more flexible - is the idea of purchasing a 15 or 30 day rail pass...

    AGR points from United travel

I believe it's one point for every air mile, and then 100 points (currently) for the train segment.

Amtrak Guest Rewards 2.0 Coming January 2016

Re: abcnews "I am in numerous airline programs and most offer no viable option of canceling an award trip without a major penalty. And they all are pretty much based on space available. I am not so sure that it was fair to AGR and Amtrak - that you had the option to cancel a free trip an hour or...

Can anyone else check AGR transactions?

I occasionally have a similar problem, but I think it's related to the fact that we use the same computer for multiple family accounts. I don't really have a good reason for thinking this, except that when it happens it'll keep saying "Not YOURNAME?" beside my name and number instead of "Log...

    Florida Amtrak Residents

Duh, I apparently skipped that first sentence, thought he was just looking for an overnightless last hurrah. From Florida, while I haven't searched too much, I haven't seen anything that could be considered a deal. The only value I can really see involves trips where I'd actually prefer stopovers.

If you're going to Chicago and "paying" for the extra zone, maybe just go all the way to Denver? It adds an extra night on the Zephyr and if I remember right it's daily so you can get into Denver in the morning and turn around and head home that evening. IMO it's one of the best values in the...

Amtrak Guest Rewards 2.0 Coming January 2016

On mobile; poorly formatted quote from PaulM: "If my theory is correct, you will no longer collect "points", just as you never collected "miles". Rather you collect a few cents per dollar spent which get credited to future travel." Unfortunately, there are a few reasons it doesn't appear...
